My Encounter with David Richardson
Part Two

Since the last article in this series was released David Richardson, aka Dorian the Magician has taken quite a liking to me. So much so, in fact, he has retracted his original statements about Bryce Dallas being murdered by Don Roley, a Bujinkan instructor and head of “Bullshit Martial Arts” to outright claiming it non-stop as well as making several very adorable videos about me personally. On a personal note I would say it would help him better if he actually knew anything about me. I am starting to think he may have some sort of attraction to me but being as I have lived my entire life without the affections of a significant other I am going to have to turn those offers down.

instead of shuriken to avoid damage to their eyes or testicles. A rare technique
to be sure, but not unheard of in certain circles of martial arts.
In my last
article I actually complimented Richardson as I did in fact call him a talented
magician. His demonstrations I have been able to find seem quite good in
regards to the layman such as myself when it comes to magic tricks. But inside
of him I sense a deep need to be a master of something. For him it is a desire
to be great at martial arts and with that comes his tale of a path covered in
potholes as he leaves the Marine Corps (thank you for your service) to train in
Dux Ryu. After some initial time we find he was disenchanted with the system as
a whole, called Dux out for being a fraud, found the Bujinkan in Japan and from
there began training with David Dow in Los Angeles, California in the Bujinkan
full time. From here it seems Richardson has taken a very odd turn. And one
which is quite dangerous to boot. Because here and now he is trying his best to
lump his so-called nemesis Roley into line with other serial murderers it would
seem. In his mind Roley is no better than Ted Bundy or Richard Ramirez himself
as he has screamed to any and all who will listen that Roley murdered several
frauds who have been discussed, investigated and debunked over the years. This
does include Dan Harmon, Bryce Dallas and even seeming to blame him and the
rest of BSMA’s membership for the fall of Ron Collins.
It all started with a meme.
Revisiting Konigun Ninjutsu
The case to
research Konigun Ninjutsu was long and hard for myself and my partner Cayce
Lancaster. Beginning in 2005 we struggled to get ground against the obstacles which
Dallas had placed ahead of any information about his life outside of the
martial arts world. But, since Mr. Magic wants to know I will tell the world
why we did it.
Simple.
Dallas was a fraud, a bully and a criminal who hurt people. We knew he was the
first two from the beginning of his infamous lawsuit against E-Budo. What we
never realized was how large a criminal he was and the crimes he committed were
numerous. So numerous in fact they span across multiple States and, should
proof bear out, outside the United States in some instances.
In his
videos about me Richardson claims I am obsessed with Bryce Dallas. He even goes
to lengths to use snapshots from my article series where I spoke to Jim Haynes.
Haynes currently runs the School of Martial Arts in Wartburg, TN where as far
as anyone knows is the only place left offering Konigun Ninjutsu training.
Haynes was a long-time student of Dallas and was according to witnesses knowledgeable
about some of the actions of his sensei. What he is using for his video is as
follows:
Dated May 28th, 2019 where Jim Haynes and I had our
first contact and spoke via Facebook Messenger. We had never spoken before this
and only some afterwards.
Now Richardson
would have you seem to believe that this was me speaking
to a relative of Dallas. At the very least it would appear that way. Haynes and
Dallas to my knowledge are not related except as a teacher and student. Haynes
is not a family member to him at all. But in the idea of fairness I am going to
give “Dorian” some slack because he wasn’t privy to the entire conversation.
Pictured above are screenshots from the same conversation on
the same date with Jim Haynes. Unfortunately Richardson took one part out of
context and seems to believe this justifies his argument that I’m attacking the
family of Dallas. This is not the case. I have been fair and impartial with
regards to Dallas and backed my articles with evidence.
As for an
obsession with Konigun Ninjutsu and it’s late creator, maybe it could appear
so. I was dead set to tell the story of a fascinating fraud who by the time he
came to the knowledge of the wider martial arts community was already responsible
for so much harm to innocent people that the story had to be told.
And Richardson
refuses still to even acknowledge the pain of those innocents and seems to
justify his defense of Dallas by using it to further his online agenda against
Don Roley.
Plagiarism Accusations
Richardson has one major issue with Roley in that he accuses the former of plagiarizing the works of Soke Masaaki Hatsumi, now semi-retired, head of the Bujinkan Dojo
Roley published authorized translations of the works of Soke but leaves out the actual photos and original works as published by the grandmaster himself. Richardson is quite hypocritical in this accusation as
Taken from Roley's blog and webpage, these books are examples of what Richardson has claimed over and over again against his avowed enemy and alleged tormentor.
What Richardson doesn't say to anyone is that truth in this matter is not important to him or any number of his supporters. The reason I say that is another Bujinkan shihan who goes with his own seemingly self-imposed title of "Doshi" does the same thing Roley does.
With one minor exception.
From "Doshi" Richard Van Donk's website, Bushindo University, which offers alongside the video black belt study course for the Bujinkan system photocopied versions of Soke Hatsumi's work which includes translations.
Richard Van Donk's online store offers a complete photocopy of the entire book along with the translations whereas Roley's translations requires one to go out and purchase the original book from the publishers in Japan. He provides a translation companion guide to assist you in understanding the books of Hatsumi-sensei as they are meant to be. As Roley has stated to me it is important to NOT take from the publishers, who in turn offer royalties to Soke. I am curious as to whether or not Doshi Van Donk is paying royalties to Soke for the re-publishing of this book?
But then again despite this truth Richardson could care less because Mr. Van Donk is friends with him on Facebook and doesn't give negative feedback about his videos, his views or his comments on his page regarding his training. Additionally I am almost positive Richardson is using his friendship with him on social media to make himself more "legitimate" as it seems Van Donk has no conception of who this man is for real.
And here lies the core concept of David "Dorian" Richardson. He is attempting to do exactly what Bryce Dallas did back in 2005. He wants his detractors silenced. He has allied himself with everyone around him who also had a beef with anyone on the Bullshit Martial Arts Facebook page or for that matter anywhere else. This is a wide listing of people to include Phil Elmore, Dale Seago, Budo Bob Davidson and Triton Smith, just to name a few. These people all are active critics of Richardson and others for the actions they take in the sake of trying to make themselves appear as masters of their crafts when they have forgotten the importance of being students first.
Hard work, dedication and resilience. These are hallmarks of a martial arts practitioner. Richardson merely sits behind a keyboard and attempts to attack people from a distance. And now I am his latest target. I'm sure it's well-earned. But I am not going to let him stamp his feet on the people who were affected by frauds like Dallas. And people like Richardson, of which there are many, are the first to fling offensive slurs, racially biased arguments and defamation at any who speak out against them.
Despite all of this he has also been on record making light of a female victim, an ex-girlfriend of another associate (or so it seems?) of his named Lee Maurer. The fact that Richardson would stoop as low as to make the treatment of a female victim seem trivial tells us all we need to know about his character. But that is for another article.
And David? I'm just getting warmed up. But please keep the videos coming. I need the humor. If Bryce Dallas couldn't hide his crimes from us what honestly do you think you can do, Dave?
Let this be a part of your legacy, "Dorian." You defended a criminal and a cult leader.
Disputing evidence that is proven Richardson has come out seemingly in defense of Bryce Dallas and claiming he was murdered by Roley. Additionally he refuses to acknowledge the victims in that particular case and how his statements have affected their lives as a result of peace gained from the death of their former tormentor.
