I swear it seems we have walked this road already. Well, seems we must again. To quote Mark Barrowcliffe, "an obsession is a way for damaged people to damage themselves more."

I think he misspelled failure.

Well with the Corona Virus seeming to be stemming in society and now seemingly all but forgotten, and also with riots breaking out across the country in relation to police brutality I guess we can say 2020 has shaped up to be a novel year, has it not?  The martial arts community is not immune to this type of insanity, either. This is where David Richardson, the self-styled magician who claims to be an entertainer at The Magic Castle, a premier establishment and private dining club comes into play again. Aside from projecting the image of himself being Merlin he also posts regular videos in retaliation to Don Roley, a Bujinkan practitioner and former resident of Japan for fifteen years issuing challenges to fight him and finding ways to back out of them almost as quickly.

Was I speaking quite fast? Good. Because that is the summarization of the sociopathic drivel that spews from Dorian and people like him. They constantly try and be irritating and sometimes they push until it has been enough. For their own good they have to be stopped and the world shown who they truly are. And in the past months since my last post I have been gathering evidence as I am prone to do in order to present my case here.

And so here we are. "We are Gerald" does mean something. Break is over, time to work again. And work we, my team and myself, will do. 

The Magician Himself

Since February I have watched these unfolding events in recent months to great delight. Richardson has long maintained that the late Bryce Dallas who founded Konigun Ninjutsu is a victim at the hands of Roley. I have covered this issue before in previous articles both on Richardson and also over on the blog maintained by Mr. Lancaster.  Aside from Dallas he also claims that Roley and other members of the Facebook group, "Bullshit Martial Arts" or BSMA are responsible for doxing people to suicide, cyber-bullying and the like. He messages me daily from a fake account and in my head I see him sitting on a couch surrounded by pizza boxes wearing a wife-beater stained from the jelly of yesterday's donut as he continues laughing maniacally sending these posts to anyone he thinks will care or be offended.

From defending Bryce Dallas and calling him sensei while further disregarding that he was also an avowed racist and would never look in the general direction of Richardson, to making fun of the death of Roley's wife by cancer, to calling members fat, ugly, retarded or any number of words....the list goes on and on with the idiocy which is the supposed wonder of a failed magician who at nearly sixty years old is reliving his good old days when he performed once at The Magic Castle and has not been a member of the Academy of Magical Arts in about twenty years. Oh, and his Bujinkan membership dues remain unpaid as well according to Japan. Just saying Dorian....not that it matters because you hang out with Dux and all that.

He is obsessed. And obsession is not something one should allow their heart to be absorbed by. His obsession? Don Roley. As he told me in a phone call a couple of weeks ago he wants Don "bad" as spittle seemed to come forth from his frothy mouth as he spat that word to myself and my partner.

Personally I had thought he would put on his magic top hat and vanish away into the nethers but you can't keep a good lady down! I say that because he fancies a profile on Facebook to message me at the least calling himself "Melody Holland." Using a pilfered dating site photo he has decided to never message me again from his own page. Well, that's not true. He did try to call me recently and was pretty miffed at my associate and legal analyst when he tried to cuss him out on the phone demanding to be able to speak to me directly. David, or rather Melody has manners on par with a bear wiping it's ass with a pinecone.

His most recent attempts to push this illusion of being a victim is through the use of his own Facebook groups, one in particular called "Ban BSMA" which seems to be a catch-all for various people who flock to the gospel of Dorian. Among things that are posted there include about 28 posts per day of Richardson alone. These also include various videos where he "shows the truth and lands the blows of evidence" against those who are members of BSMA to include myself and also my team. He recently released an address of where he believes Roley lives in the hopes we believe of getting him hurt or even worse, possibly. Luckily the address was an old one apparently, but the danger is there still.

Now to be clear we here at Greysmith Investigations use our place at BSMA to promote our work. Yes, occasionally one of the interns will pop off with a funny comment or sometimes just one gets posted to add in an opinion or even better, get the attention of someone to see if they're watching. David bites into these tidbits regularly in order to get what he feels is "damning evidence" against the poster. (See this continuing theme here, right? We will cover this as the series goes onward.) Anything that can be used to give him some kind of foothold to legitimacy will be presented as well. Over. And over. And over. We have the videos saved for our records. Believe me you do NOT want to watch them back to back due to the cost of sanity points or brain cells. I actually propose a drinking game everytime Dorian presents his ever-present picture of himself with Stephen Hayes and his wife Rumiko Hayes. It's in every....single....video.

It is debated at the moment if he is trying to portray himself as a student of Mr. Hayes or not.

The Magic of Obsession

So obsessed has he become that people who were removed from BSMA have flocked to him in anger to lash out at the former group and it's members. One member was Justin Holloway. As of 6/11/20 it was presented to me by Melody-pretending-to-be-David a post I am republishing here for you to read:

"Let me tell you personal experience with Don Roley. The only person that weakling will fight is someone like Ron Collins. Someone who is smaller and weaker and has no real martial arts experience. Bujinkan members like Don Roley have been on this wrath ever since Antony  exposed the holes in Togakure lineage. In an attempt to deflect attention from this. Dean/Dieter and Roley took bsma and used it as a platform for Bujinkan. Dieter actually isn't even the original idea for this group... It was Antony himself. 

The group started out good... Intellectual discussion and exposing if techniques that don't have proper mechanics. Then slowly turned into Bujinkan group which many "original" members left. I, myself, just went idle because it mostly wasn't my fight anymore. These guys obsessed... And I mean obsessed over their targets. Like their unhealthy obsession with Frank Dux was quite awkward. 

Don Roley comes into the group and wasn't an admin at first. Because but of course with him outranking Dean and Dean being submissive to Don Roley. He soon gained control. Don Roley would literally rage quit the group and wouldn't come back unless he got his way(it was actually kinda laughable how he calls others little boy but he cried and whined about a Facebook group) of course Dean would accommodate him which made other members be like "wow, this is tiring" and then leave. Most founding members soon got tired on Don Roleys cry baby like attitude and constant rage quitting unless his demands were met. Then Dean ends up giving him admin over the group. Shortly after that it became the Don Roley group. 

Long story short Don Roley turned the group upside down and the only people left are the psychos that are just as extreme as him. Don Roley has been challenged over 100 times and still hasn't had one fight in his life. But yet thinks he's qualified to make videos and write about combatitves. He's never been in combat. The most Don Roley has participated in is "pressure drills" were they fit you with all kind of protective gear and big helmets and attempt recreate an attack scenario. They are resisting but ultimately they are letting you win not trying to defeat you. Don Roley knows he cannot fight, his strongest muscle is his fingers on the keyboard. And unless you are a Ron Collins he will not show up to fight you.

So, let's take it from the top, shall we?

Beginning about Ron Collins. Yes, that same Ron Collins who challenged Roley over and over again only to constantly back out but did eventually show up at a seminar in Kentucky? The same Ron Collins who is now serving time in a federal penitentiary for charges stemming from falsification of a federal firearms application. The same Ron Collins who was convicted using evidence from his videos, his blogs and general running of his mouth. That was the Ron Collins who also while Roley's wife was alive was making fun of her dying and calling her a whore. 

Ron Collins in what is perhaps his most brilliant and eventful moment as he is "held back" by members of the Black Dragon Fighting Society who accompanied him to the seminar.

The same Ron Collins who was called out for being an alleged (meaning not proven in a court of law) pedophile, attacked his lawyer at his 2019 trial, who had several charges stemming back for years, who lied about his training, put out terrible videos showing lackluster techniques, made threatening remarks to others who disagreed with him, and finally lied about his military background.....yes, that is the same Ron Collins. The same man who also brought along Irving Soto from the BDFS and has a very hearty resume of 10th Dan Soke Grandmaster, 279 undefeated fights, and friend of Frank Dux....

Appearing a second time in this article, Frank Dux and the black belt that sealed the gates of Mordor....I am so seeing a pattern form here that is disturbing.

Don reminded them in the video footage Ron's issue was with him and demanded to let Collins fight. Ron however declined this invitation to the mat with Don later in the video. But Collins was destined for greater things, and eventually had his fight with Icy Mike, went to prison and the rest has been generally considered ancient history since then.

The next topic is the mention of Antony. This would have to be Antony Cummins who is a researcher of ninjutsu history and ardent critic of the Bujinkan and from what I have seen the Takamatsuden lineages as a whole. Opinions on Antony are divided at best and several articles have been written and videos produced to dispute his claims against the traditional aspects of the Samurai arts and Budo in general. 

Despite all of the criticism to date he has published numerous books to provide his perspective and even interviewed such illuminaries of the ninja world to include Radford Davis, also known as Ashida Kim. I remember some years ago he was discussing having angered Bujinkan Shihan (now Soke of Koto Ryu) Noguchi-sensei who when he left the building found the door slammed on him and he was not generally welcomed back to the dojo afterwards. Mayhaps a review of his work would be beneficial to me....I had almost forgotten he existed until Mr. Holloway spoke of him in this post.

The next topic would be how Roley came to be involved in the group. From what I understand Roley was promoted to admin due to his connection to Japan, his fluent ability in the native language and his perspective on the history. He is considered an expert on the subject of Fujita Seiko and Koga Ryu as well. 

Now, I am not a personal friend to Roley despite the videos which Richardson claims I'm his "bitch," but I can say we are generally on the same wavelength when it comes to researching frauds in the martial arts community and yes, I do consider myself a colleague to him in that regard as well as martial arts. We have never to this day met in person to my knowledge nor have we had more than a few phone calls between us other than the messages we share in our work on BSMA.

However, Roley has been an outspoken critic of Frank Dux for several years and his issue with Richardson seems to stem from two major things. One, Roley is critical of Ron Duncan who made outlandish claims of being a ninja master himself. This would require an entire article or two on it's own, so I will review that later.

As for reason number two Richardson was angered that Roley corrected him about the historical figure of Yasuke, the "Black Samurai" who served under Nobunaga in feudal Japan. If I recall the conversation correctly Richardson was devoted to the idea that Yasuke, a slave to Jesuit priests, played a huge role in the court of Nobunaga. However Yasuke was seen more accurately as a novelty. It was even recorded in historical accounts that members of the court attempted to wipe what they thought was ink off of his ebony skin having never encountered a dark-skinned person in their lives to that point.

According to sources Yasuke took part in the final battle of Nobunaga's life, was present for his commission of seppuku, and then promptly after that was captured by rival forces and taken to a Christian church in Kyoto. He was called, according to recorded history by these forces, "an animal and not Japanese," and allowed to live. His date and location of his death has been debated since. 

Mr. Holloway goes on to finish the post by claiming Roley has been challenged over a hundred times and never entered into any fight. Roley's own statements are that while in Japan he took part in training outside of the Bujinkan and signed an oath he would never challenge anyone, but could take part in any challenge offered. This is a common practice in many Koryu arts known as keppan. These are still in use today to enforce adherence to the standards of the dojo one belongs to. In many instances breaking this oath is tantamount to complete dismissal from the school as well as the issue of a hammon, or redaction of ranking in that particular group. So this puts Roley in an odd position. And Richardson and other detractors have taken advantage of this. 

Recently, however, Richardson challenged Roley on the blog of Lordus. Roley wholeheartedly accepted. As a matter of fact he even scheduled a seminar in Utah the same weekend to accommodate Richardson further only to have Richardson balk at the notion of not having the fight at the dojo of a Dux Ryu affiliate. Roley then pretended to have a leg injury to ferret out a fake account of Richardson's making and he then declared himself the winner by default.

There's just one large issue he forgot about with regards to this grand post by Mr. Holloway. You see, in our society it is typically frowned upon to be a person of less-than-stellar morals and integrity. And well, another writer by the name of Barron Sheppard covered this issue about Holloway about two years ago. He covered it so well and documented everything so concisely on his blog and my team and I have such a habit of saving things that we never realize until later just how handy they are.

You see, Mr. Holloway was actually arrested for incidents related to domestic violence and seems to have a habit of making threats towards women. 

Dorian's Smoking Gun.....

Personally I don't feel I can cover this any better than another colleague did. His blog link doesn't work anymore for the story. But luckily I can still find stuff related to it on BSMA.

But as the Avengers have a Hulk, I have a digital thumbprint locator in the form of the Internet Wayback Machine. And I was able to read through the internet to find some very interesting tidbits about Mr. Holloway. The most damning would be the arrest report.

….yep, that would be him, one and the same.

So it seems Mr. Holloway didn't leave BSMA as he claims due to Roley or members he disagreed with. He was booted for assault and domestic violence against his child's mother. And apparently this didn't set well with him either so now he turns his loyalty to a man like Richardson. His hatred of BSMA is so deep that he even made threats against a female Bujinkan practitioner which are also well-documented and should the need arise I will post those as well. 

Yeah, I mean if we are going to call people out on stuff maybe you should not omit that you're apparently according to posts you wrote that you would beat women. And if you lied or omitted these facts in your post or to "Ban BSMA" then how can any of us take you serious? I'm almost sure Richardson either didn't know, or maybe he did and just decided to not care and hid it as well because the alleged tidbits fit his agenda. Either way there is no excuse for these behaviors with regards to Mr. Holloway and in my opinion shouldn't be tossing accusations at anyone else when he obviously didn't own up to this behavior.

Moving onwards

As it stands these articles are starting to become more common with regards to the man known as David Richardson. So much in fact that I think it is worth mentioning I believe he has begun to show disturbing traits in his actions that are reminding me of Bryce Dallas as he frantically made accusations with no proof against his enemies. Or even Ron Collins as he attempted to dox anyone who dared speak against him. He has gone as far as recruiting people loyal to these frauds to side with him in his quest of perverse "justice" against those he feels have wronged him. And in doing so he is continuing to expose his most vulnerable areas in his life. 

He is a failed martial artist.

He is a failed magician.

He is a failed investigator of martial arts frauds.

These things are certain. And bringing accusations against those who would disagree with you is not only ignorant but claiming the race card when you have no tangible proof is even more degrading to your argument. Aligning yourself to defend trash such as Dallas and others who have harmed victims is even more evidence of how moronic you have become.

Your videos will be shared by myself and anyone wherever we can. They have so little impact on our work, but they do make one laugh harder than I think you meant for them to. Having a friend who worked at Dreamworks helping you make them....well, you can't tell. No wonder that friend no longer works there.

I leave you with this. You wanted this. You wanted to insert yourself into my team's work. Welcome, David Richardson. Welcome to Greysmith Investigations. Take that to your Facebook group and let them know to please, oh please, continue to support your multiple posts and daily complaints. At the end of the day you're no closer to proving your side of the argument than where you started.

But by God it will be fun watching you struggle to try.
